Producing Event Series Modules

This Producing Event Series will introduce techniques to transform a basic event plan into a professional virtual experience. The training is designed for event organizers to increase the quality of the event and improve the process for presenters and for participants.

Training Modules are available as single modules or as the complete course of seven modules described below. Single modules can be purchased below. Training Module # 1: Event Organization This module contains an introduction to production and event planning. Includes a review of the basic steps used by many event organizers and project producers to effectively begin the pre-production stage of planning a virtual event.

Training Module # 2A:  Step by Step Planning Details – Part 1 This module describes the first section of steps of the preproduction process in detail and provides some examples.

Training Module # 2 B: Step by Step Planning Details – Part 2 This module completes the steps of the preproduction process in detail and provides some examples.

Training Module # 3: Creating the Virtual Event. Explanation of the factors involved in choosing the type of event, the format that is best suited for the event and options for virtual platforms. This section also covers the steps to create a Zoom meeting.

Training Module # 4: Technical Checks Review of the technical check process that is recommended for each participant prior to the live event.

Training Module # 5: Rehearsal. This guide will prepare event organizers with the framework for the organization of the event rehearsal and provides some informative tips to use for a productive event rehearsal.

Training Module # 6: Production When the pre-production is completed, the event is ready to begin. This training module reviews the essential aspects involved in the event including the key positions, the primary documents, the communication channels, and how all of this creates the dynamic for a live event.

Training Module # 7: Post Production. The final steps of the production process contain some important items to consider during the planning process. This module reviews the media, distribution and follow up recommendations for after the event.

Important Note: This training series is designed to be an introduction to the fundamentals of virtual producing. The next step upon completion of the course is hands on practice. Expertise develops with experience, over time. Practice will improve the fundamental skills and increase the knowledge needed to take virtual production to a professional level.
